ONEDAY Privacy Policy
Политика опубликована на английском языке — это основной текст. В приложении её можно перевести.
Welcome to ONEDAY, operated by Be FRIENDS Inc. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your data when you use our platform. By using ONEDAY, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
- Personal Information: When you sign up or use ONEDAY, we may collect your name, email address, and profile details.
- Content Data: Photos, videos, and comments you post on the platform. Moments are visible for 72 hours and then disappear from all galleries. To choose the Moment of the Week, we may keep the week’s most notable moments for up to 9 days; during this time they are visible only to their author, who can delete them at any time. A moment chosen as the Moment of the Day or Moment of the Week is shown at the top of the world gallery for 48 hours.
- Week in Review: To build your personal weekly summary, we keep a short log of your own posts: the day, the emotion you chose, and whether it was a moment or a pulse. The log contains no texts, photos, or videos and is kept for up to 6 weeks. To show your most notable moment of the week after it has disappeared from galleries, we may keep one small thumbnail of it until your next weekly summary. The log and the thumbnail are deleted together with your account, within one hour. The shareable summary image is created on your device and is shared only if you choose to share it; your photo is added to it only if you turn this on.
- Reactions: When you react to a pulse or a moment, its author sees only the total number of reactions, which reactions were chosen, and the countries they came from (taken from your profile or, if it is not set, determined from your IP address). Nobody, including the author, sees who reacted — neither your name nor your city. Reactions are deleted together with the pulse or moment; for your Week in Review we keep only their number and countries.
- Mood Nearby: To show which emotions are most common on the part of the pulse map you are viewing, we count the emotions of recent pulses (from the last 24 hours or the last week), one per person, without names or exact locations of individual people. A summary is shown only if at least 10 people are counted; on a zoomed-out map, a group of at least 3 people may be shown as a bubble with its main emotion. If too few people are counted, we show the mood of the world instead. Pulses shared only with followers are not counted. The ◎ button uses your device’s location only on your device to move the map; we receive only the visible map area, as with any map view. For your Week in Review we keep only the result (the one or two most common emotions around you) for up to 2 weeks.
- Location: Adding your country and city is optional and can be changed or removed in settings at any time. Other users never see the coordinates from your profile. Your city is shown on your profile only if you turn on “Show city in profile” (off by default); your country is visible. If you attach a location to a pulse, it is shown on the pulse map.
- Anonymous Posts: When you publish a pulse anonymously, other users do not see who posted it; they see only its approximate location (rounded to roughly 10 km) and the day, without the exact time. For anonymous pulses we store only this approximate location. Anonymous news, opinions, and replies hide your name, profile, and photo from other users. ONEDAY keeps the link between anonymous content and your account; we use it only for moderation, to delete your content together with your account, and to comply with legal requirements. Keep in mind that the text you write may itself reveal who you are.
- Usage Data: Information about how you interact with ONEDAY, such as IP address, device type, and browsing activity.
- Usage Statistics: To understand whether ONEDAY works well, we record on which days you open the app and whether you posted something that day. These records are kept for up to 35 days and are deleted together with your account within one day. Your country (determined from your IP address) and your device language are used only in daily totals, such as how many people from a country opened the app that day; they are not stored in your profile.
- Cookies: The ONEDAY app does not use cookies. Our website does not use cookies either; it only remembers your chosen language in your browser.
- Country Detection: We use your IP address to determine your country (for example, to show the sign-in methods available in your region, to count how many people use ONEDAY in each country, and to show authors which countries reactions came from). The lookup is performed on our own servers using an offline database; your IP address is not sent to third parties for this purpose. IP Geolocation by DB-IP (https://db-ip.com).
